Left Side Pad buttons on hardware keyboards: W, E, D, C, X, Z, A, Q
Right Side Pad buttons on hardware keyboards: I, O, L, Period, Comma, M, J, U
Play - This starts the play engine so you can create you song
Play Back - Once you create a song you can click or tap this button to play it back. If you go to the Mode menu and select Live Editing you can change the song as it plays.
Record - This will start the play engine so you can live record a song to M4A
Stop - Stop playing, recording, or playback.
Record Playback - This will start the song playback and record it If you are in live edit mode it will record changes live and you will hear them in the M4A. If you edit the song in the sequencer you'll use this button to record it to M4A format.
Lock (iOS) - This will lock the selected track. You can also hold the track’s button and press space to lock it.
Stutter (iOS) Stutters the track if the track has this feature turned on, while the button is held
Track Properties - Track Properties allows you to adjust the Volume, Balance, and properties of a track. Track Properties also allows you to set the beat if any you want a track to play on. All DM2 MixPad songs are assumed to be 4/4. So you can select any combination of beats to play on you want.
Load Track - This allows you to load a track in to the currently selected Pad button.
Menus
File: Access file functions such as Open, Recent Items, Save, and Export to m4a
Edit: Cut, Copy, Paste fucntions for the sequencer
Mode: You can put the Mixer in to Playback mode or Record mode, or you can access the sequencer.
Under the Mode menu is the Turn Live Edit On/Off. Live edit allows you to play back a previously recorded song and scratch, pitch bend or one shot tracks to update the song. Locking tracks, and swapping banks is not supported in live edit mode.
Effects: Access the effects available to the app through this menu.
